Lance Tuller
I build and operate network infrastructure at scale — managing data centers, backbone systems, and cloud connectivity — and the production platforms that monitor it all. 12+ years bridging hardware, routing protocols, and full-stack development from message queues to REST APIs.
Best fit for environments where reliability matters, complexity is the norm, and you need someone who can architect the solution, implement it in production, and build the platforms to keep it running.
Things I've Worked On
Infrastructure & Systems Engineering
Building and operating large-scale network infrastructure across global data centers, with a focus on reliability, security, and operational simplicity.
- •Led backbone network migrations from legacy platforms to Juniper infrastructure across global data centers and edge POPs, coordinating BGP and MPLS routing transitions while maintaining operational continuity
- •Designed and deployed hybrid SATCOM connectivity using LEO and GEO satellite services for distributed operations, implementing redundant paths and automated failover with BGP policy and health monitoring
- •Directed network integration during enterprise acquisition, transitioning global infrastructure and replacing legacy firewall platforms with Palo Alto across data centers
- •Built secure internal tooling including OIDC/PKCE authentication library (latch) with Azure Government cloud support, encrypted cookies, and automatic token refresh
- •Architected multi-tenant telemetry platform collecting and analyzing real-time network performance data from distributed systems, processing 2,000+ metrics/hour through message queue pipeline with time-series storage, REST APIs, and modern dashboard interface

Current Focus
Exploring LLMs and local model deployment, open source AI tooling, and practical applications for infrastructure automation. Interested in the intersection of traditional ops work and emerging AI capabilities.
Projects
Modern OIDC authentication library for Next.js with Azure Government cloud support. Implements secure authentication patterns including PKCE, refresh tokens, and encrypted cookies. Built with TypeScript and designed for enterprise environments requiring high security standards.
Desktop app for managing configuration files across projects. Scans .env, YAML, JSON, TOML files, detects missing keys and duplicates, exports clean templates. Built with Tauri 2, React 19, and Rust.
Terminal-based log viewer that aggregates logs from multiple sources into a single interface. Tails logs from files, Docker containers, Kubernetes pods, and SSH servers with live regex filtering, split-pane views, and vim-style navigation.
Synthetic log generator for testing and development. Generates realistic logs with YAML-based templates, built-in presets for popular services (nginx, postgres, kubernetes), rate control, parallel streaming, and multiple output formats including TCP/UDP network streaming.
Self-hosted webhook relay that forwards external webhooks to localhost for development. Features WebSocket tunneling, request replay for debugging, path-based routing, interactive TUI for live inspection, and SQLite persistence. No third-party dependencies.
Docker cleanup TUI that hunts unused resources. Identifies dangling images, stopped containers, orphaned volumes, and unused networks with safe/risky classification to prevent accidental deletions. Features search, filtering, bulk selection, and dry-run mode.
Paste service for developers. Share terminal output, logs, and code with preserved ANSI colors and syntax highlighting for 66 languages. Features burn-after-read, private pastes with view keys, and automatic expiry. CLI and curl-friendly.
